AMESHby Amesh Wijesekera

London-born Amesh Wijesekera grew up along the Sri Lankan coast and completed his BA at the Academy of Design in Colombo before launching the brand AMESH in 2019.
AMESH is a celebration of local communities, colour, culture, and craftsmanship.
The brand explores handmade textiles and textures, and works with Sri Lankan artisans in knitwear, crochet, and handloom, a community collaboration of heritage craftsmanship and contemporary design experience.
Each AMESH piece is individually spun, knitted or printed by hand, using deadstock fabrics and trims carefully salvaged from Sri Lanka’s street markets and industrial waste to create cross-seasonal statement pieces.
