mfpen was founded in 2016 in Copenhagen by designer Sigurd Bank. mfpen is a modern clothing brand that reinterprets classic garments through relaxed silhouettes and a commitment to responsible production. The aesthetic draws on both retrospective and countercultural notions to look ahead and shape the evolution of classic European tailoring and design, creating timeless garments with a sense of understated, refined elegance. The production process follows a responsible hierarchy, prioritizing high-quality European deadstock fabrics sourced from excess stock within the fashion industry. When deadstock isn’t available, the brand turns to recycled and biodegradable fabrics, only using certified organic cotton as a last resort.
