SAMUEL GUÌ YANGby Erik Litzén & Samuel Yang
Samuel Guì Yang is a design studio with roots in both London and Shanghai. The collections are marked by the duality of the team behind them. By mixing and merging Chinese and western codes and historic and contemporary references, they embody a language with strong character and a sense of mystery.
Speaking about the future of their brand, designers Samuel Yang and Erik Litzen state: “We would like to create a fashion brand in wich the union of two different cultures stands at the core. We believe that by working together and creating across borders, we can achieve true newness. Being part of a wave of new Chinese designers we have taken on the challenge of creating for a new generation of Chinese. We aim to offer a vision whereby Chinese history and culture stand for more than just exotic notions or traditional costumes and we are excited to present our work to a wider audience.
We are also passionate about showing that “made in China” also can be synonymous with creativity, high quality, artistry and sustainability.”
