SSSTEINby Kiichiro Asakawa

Kiichiro Asakawa, who is self-taught in design, spent several years working in planning and design before opening his own multi brand store, carol, in Tokyo in 2016, curating vintage pieces alongside carefully selected brands from Japan and abroad. Through the process of deconstructing and remaking vintage garments and delivering each piece individually to customers, he found joy in creating and sharing his own work, which led him to launch his brand, ssstein. 
Embodying a sense of “quiet strength and dignified beauty,” ssstein expresses an elegant mood that feels natural and unforced. Each product is carefully crafted by combining pattern making, fabric development, and sewing techniques not only from Japan but from around the world.
