Agboblyby Jacques Agbobly

Agbobly is a high-end womenswear and menswear brand created in 2020 by Togolese designer Jacques Agbobly after graduating from Parsons in NYC. Initially launched with a knit dress and specializing in made-to-order knitwear, it has since expanded into ready-to-wear with a keen focus on handcrafted luxury garments. Jacques, the founder, draws on childhood memories in Togo to fuel a brand that bridges the gap between the Western world and African Culture. By channeling storytelling, he aims to showcase the importance of African craftsmanship and heritage on a global scale. This narrative is embodied in detailed hand-knits, beadwork, embroidery, and a lively color palette, inspiring the wearer to appropriate it.
